Let the pampering begin. |
Why is this? It's because I've got the most amazing friends ever. I don't care what you say about your friends, mine are better. Which is fine, because chances are that if you're reading this, you're one of my friends, and you rock.
Tonight I'm here to tell you how incredibly taken care of I feel. It's like it's my birthday and Christmas rolled into one.
Two weeks ago I posted on Facebook that my blender had bitten the dust, and last week I posted the following:
"I looking forward to the day when I can have proper groceries in my kitchen, and nice smelling soap, a good hand lotion, and I can get rid of the make-up that should have been tossed ages ago."This was not a cry for help, nor was I fishing for stuff. I was simply venting. But, one of my wonderful friends took it upon herself to buy me a blender, another got me a gift certificate to Bath and Body works, and another (who didn't even SEE the post) bought me some nice soaps. Added to that, I finally redeemed and old gift card from the Apple store and got a case for my iPhone today, and yesterday I splurged on a tube of mascara.
I'm feeling quite pampered and taken care of.
Of course this is in addition to the many, many friends who over the past year have taken me out to dinner and movies, brought me groceries and made me food when my mom was sick (as well as held my hand and lent a shoulder to cry on), hauled away boxes and furniture, and helped me move, fixed my computer and changed my flat tire and my car battery... the list goes on. I'm also grateful to those who continue to support me by taking my classes and buying my art. And every once in awhile, keeping me in wine.
You know who you are.
I am truly blessed to have such an incredible circle of friends. THANK YOU!!!
